Omoda C7 and C7 PHEV open for booking in Malaysia, estimated from RM160,000

Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia opened order books for the Omoda C7 and C7 PHEV on 7 August 2026, with estimated prices of RM160,000 for the 1.6-litre turbo petrol and RM180,000 for the plug-in hybrid. Both are locally assembled in Shah Alam. The petrol C7 is due in the third quarter of 2026 and the PHEV in the fourth quarter. Omoda C7 side profile with light trails

The C7 is Omoda's new C-segment SUV, slotting below the C9. It was shown to the public at Suria KLCC from 7 to 9 August 2026 after previews at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week and the Gen-O owner community launch earlier in the year.

Two powertrains

  • Omoda C7: 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 197 PS (145 kW) and 290 Nm, seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, 19-inch wheels. Estimated RM160,000.
  • Omoda C7 PHEV: 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 204 PS electric motor for a combined 360 PS (265 kW) and 530 Nm, single-speed hybrid transmission, 18.3 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery, up to 95 km of electric driving and around 1,250 km combined range, 20-inch wheels. Estimated RM180,000.

Equipment previewed

Both versions carry an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, double-glazed front windows, a 50 W wireless charging pad and the full driver-assistance suite. The PHEV adds a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that slides on a powered mount.
