Jaecoo J5 EV launched in Malaysia at RM118,800

Jaecoo Auto Malaysia launched the J5 EV on 2 September 2026 at RM118,800 on-the-road without insurance, RM6,200 below the RM125,000 estimate given when bookings opened in July. It is the brand's first fully electric model in Malaysia, locally assembled in Shah Alam, with a 58.9 kWh battery, 461 km NEDC range and a 7-year, 150,000 km vehicle warranty. The first 1,000 customers who register by 31 October 2026 receive a launch package worth RM10,000.

Omoda C7 and C7 PHEV open for booking in Malaysia, estimated from RM160,000

Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia opened order books for the Omoda C7 and C7 PHEV on 7 August 2026, with estimated prices of RM160,000 for the 1.6-litre turbo petrol and RM180,000 for the plug-in hybrid. Both are locally assembled in Shah Alam. The petrol C7 is due in the third quarter of 2026 and the PHEV in the fourth quarter. Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia marks two years with 32,000 deliveries and a top-five ranking

Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia celebrated its second anniversary on 18 July 2026 with more than 32,000 vehicles delivered since the Jaecoo J7 launched in July 2024, including over 8,100 in the first half of 2026. The brand is now the fifth best-selling car brand in Malaysia. The Jaecoo J5 passed 2,500 deliveries within four months of its March launch, and electrified deliveries rose to 2,300 units in the first half, up 843% on a year earlier.

Omoda C9 PHEV launched in Malaysia at RM208,800

The Omoda C9 PHEV went on sale in Malaysia on 18 March 2026 at RM208,800 on-the-road without insurance. Its 1.5-litre turbo engine and three electric motors produce a combined 537 PS and 650 Nm for 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a 34.46 kWh battery good for up to 169 km of electric driving (NEDC) and around 1,100 km combined. The first 50 units are fully imported, followed by locally assembled cars from Shah Alam.
